As we were two months away from the actual flight departure, we started searching for accommodation at Bali only to realize that the duration of our trip fell within the High Season period for Bali so most accommodations had surcharges. It didn't really help that we weren't exactly sure where to stay because we wanted to stay somewhere reasonably quiet but nearby the beach. After weeks of research and surveying online, I decided to stay with Wina Holiday Villa Kuta Bali Hotel, a 4-Star rated hotel. It is located approx. 100metres away from the Kuta Beach as well as within walking distance to shopping destinations around Kuta.
Anyhow, our trip was from 9-12th July. When the day finally come, I was really happy and excited. Why?
1. finally a break from work
2. first trip overseas with my bb on a plane :D
3. first time to Bali!
The first disappointment on Day 1 was that our flight was delayed by a whopping 1hour and 45minutes. They sure know how to time their delays damn it, just another 15minutes and we get compensated for the delay. So instead of departing KL at 11.45am, we end up departing at 1.30pm. We went to LCCT by one of those shuttle buses at KL Sentral. First hand experience of their recklessness on the road and also at the end of the journey, you have to retrieve your own luggage at the baggage compartment. After checking-in, we went into the respective terminal to look around as well as to wait for our flight.

Bye Bye Malaysia!
Before we knew it, we were on the plane and on our way towards Bali, Indonesia for hopefully a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable trip :) The flight took almost 3 hours and upon arrival and the queue at the immigration, customs and the road journey to our hotel (10minutes away, but due to congestion on the road alongside the Kuta Beach, it was about a half an hour journey), we checked into our rooms around 5pm. We quickly freshen up, changed our clothes and head out for an evening stroll around the shops at the alleys behind the hotel and searched for a proper place for dinner.

As we went to Bali without any proper travel itinerary, we had taken a bunch of brochures from the Denpasar Airport arrival hall and from there we look at the humongous choices of local places to visit and the various tour packages available. Upon retiring back to our rooms after dinner and some shopping, we finally settled for a 13 hour guided tour to Kintamani, which I promptly called the tour agency and arranged for our Day 2 at Bali. Efficient leh.. :D
