Chic Pop @ TTDI Plaza

As dated as this may be, it was my first time attending Chic Pop's Street Market. I missed the ones held at Zouk Club. This time around it was held at TTDI Plaza which is located not too far a distance from One Utama. This time around, I made sure I set aside some time for the last weekend of January to attend it with June as I have heard good things about it.

Besides that, I also made very sure not to drive my car there because the bloody slope into the basement parking is not only steep, but the retarded developers made a speed hump right after the darn slope. That caused me my front bumper's skirting. So if you, or if your other half is driving and have a really low riding car, consider parking elsewhere and walk to the venue.

The very first thing I noticed when I step into the street market is the absolute horrid heat of the place. Despite being covered, there just isn't enough ventilation around the place to get rid of the trapped heat. The organizers could have rented those misting machines to bring the temperatures down.. I mean, they would have surveyed the venue beforehand and be well prepared for this right? After all, these kinda street market are bound to bring in a lot of interest.

There are some good giveaways for this event such as the free manicure, free massage, and free fortune telling by tarot or zodiac. The free drinks wise, Tiger beer is awesome for us guys but I suppose they could have considered non-alcoholic drinks such as juices or soft drinks for them ladies that do not want to have beer.

As June wanted to get her free manicure, she went to queue up because there was just one or two people, until some came queuing and sort of cut her line and got a number from the lady manning the booth. The lady literally turned a blind eye that June was there first. I mean, the lady did not even inform her regarding the queue by number when she was at their booth waiting, and there was absolutely no f*cking sign showing the need to get a number. The worst thing was because the girl that was doing manicure had done hers, the girl that cut queue was next in line because the next number was not around. So there is really unfairness to a certain extent here. Hopefully the organizers would at least make sure these booths have a proper way of managing crowd FAIRLY, else there really is no point in giving any when poor management causes your event attendees to get upset.
As the heat was already unpleasant, coupled by that upsetting bullshit we both left the place.

Before we left only did I come to a conclusion that of all the booths, the Lecka-Lecka booth has got to be the best throughout the event, chilling us down with cold sweetness. At Chic Pop, I met my former university mates - Eu Gene and Sern Liang. Not to forget Prakash who is a friend of June's
